HMK® R179 Rust Remover for Soft Stone - Marble, Onyx, Travertine, Limestone

HMK® R179 is a special ready to use cleaner for use on all natural and artificial stone surfaces that removes rust stains caused by metal furniture, central heating leaks, fertilizer with traces of iron, iron filings etc… R179 contains special rust inhibitors that reduce future rust development. R179 is especially suitable for polished marble and limestone.

Important: Do not apply in direct sunlight or spray onto hot surfaces. R179 causes a chemical reaction during application and a violet color and distinctive odor may be noted. Ensure good ventilation when R179 is applied in enclosed areas.

Instructions: Spray R179 undiluted evenly and generously onto a cool and dry surface. Allow around 10-15 minutes for it to take effect but do not allow it to dry. Remove any residual R179 and clean the area with HMK® R155 Intensive Cleaner -acid free- diluted 1:20 with clean water and work into the surface using a scrubbing brush, hand-brush or suitable pad. Remove the dirty liquid and rinse the area thoroughly with clear water.
Stubborn or old rust stains may require additional treatments until they are completely removed After use, remove spray head from bottle and rinse with water.
When using a wet vacuum with R155, we recommend that you add HMK® Z102 Defoamer to the water to regulate the amount of foam.

Coverage: About 40 to 50 sq.ft per bottle.

Warning: Chemical product. Contains surfactants, auxiliary agents and organic sulphur bondings. Avoid eye/skin contact. If exposed, wash/flush with water and seek medical attention. Take appropriate safety precautions when dealing with corrosives. At all times wear suitable protective clothing (gloves, masks, boots, etc…). Keep out of the reach of children. Packaging: 12 x 1/2L bottles/box.

Storage: Store in cool dark place. Keep lid tightly closed.

Testing: Always test the product in an inconspicuous area to evaluate suitability, coverage and performance. Do not use the product in temperatures below 50 and above 80°F.
