HMK® S244 Color Enhancing Impregnator – Extra Stain Protection 1-Liter
HMK® S244 Color Enhancer For Natural Stone – Extra Deep Enhancing
Solvent based Color Enhancing Impregnator. For use on all Natural Stone surfaces. Leaves a soft sheen finish, bringing out stone colors.
HMK® S244 is a ready to use special solvent based color enhancing impregnator for use on natural and artificial stones, reconstituted stone, and terrazzo. It reduces the penetration of water, dirt, oil and grease, as liability to dirt and stains is significantly reduced and subsequent cleaning is made much easier. The level of resistance to water, oil and grease varies depending upon the permeability of the surface. HMK® S244 significantly enhances the color and structure of the treated surface. The more product absorbed into the surface, the better the repelling and color enhancing effect.
Note: The polished effect on acid-sensitive surfaces can still be diminished by contact with products such as cola, wine and fruit juices etc., however, this effect is dramatically reduced by the use of S244. S244 does not yellow with age. The vapor permeability of the stone is only slightly impaired. Once dry the residual material is not harmful to health.

Important: Clean surface thoroughly before treatment using HMK® R155 Intensive Cleaner (diluted) followed by a flood rinse with water and allow at least 24 hours to dry (max residual moisture of 2-4%) before sealing. If under floor heating exists, switch it off and allow the surface to cool to room temperature.
Instructions: Ensure the surface to be treated is clean, cool and dry. Apply S244 generously and evenly over the whole surface using a soft paintbrush, roller with short fibers or HMK® Z950 & HMK® Z951 Application Brushes. Repeat treatment for particularly absorbent surfaces after 24 hours. Do not allow to puddle; excess S244 must be removed with a paper towel or lint-free cloth before it dries. If excess is not removed properly dark marks or streaks can develop which will later be more difficult to remove.
Do not walk on the treated surface until 12 hours after treatment is completed. Resistance to dirt and water is developed over 48 hours. Protect surface from rain and humidity for 12 hours. Do not apply to rubber, plastics, lacquered or varnished surfaces and solvent intolerant materials. Remove all foodstuffs from the area to be treated before work is commenced. Once dry the residual material is not harmful to health. For regular cleaning and continued protection use HMK® P24 Liquid Stone Soap. Please note surfaces that are not to be treated such as walls, glass, furnishings etc. must be protected. Ideal working temperature of the surface is between 50˚-70˚F. Do not apply in direct sunlight. HMK® S244 can temporarily develop a pearling effect after application which should disappear on its own. This pearling does not impair the effectiveness or durability of the treatment.
Coverage: About 50-220 square feet per liter depending on the nature of the surface to be treated.
